Enjoy a fabulous day out with a wide range of animals from tropical South America including jaguars, monkeys, snakes and birds. RAIN? No problem we've got a large indoor play area to jump around in!
Amazona Zoo in Cromer, Norfolk, is one of the county's most unique and fun days out where families can discover South American wildlife. The zoo is home to over 200 tropical animals including Jaguars, Monkeys, Snakes, Tapirs, Flamingos and other birds including a Toucan. As well as extensive grounds it also has a large indoor soft play area for Under 12's. It is committed to helping visitors discover nature and provide education on conservation issues. There are at least four 'feed the animal' events a day, with jaguar and pumas on alternate days. Highlights include a Feline Forest with Ocelot, Pumas and Jaguar; a Tropical House with Spectacled Caiman, Anaconda Snake and Iguanas; Chilean Flamingos and South American Wildfowl. In addition discover Amazon Parrots, Macaws, Squirrel Monkeys, Red-legged Seriema and Geoffroys Spider Monkeys. Jungle Tumbles is a large well-equipped soft play centre for under 12's. It has slides, bridges, climbing ropes, interactive games, a see-saw and a comfortable seating area for parents to relax. It is open all year round. There are two huge jumping pillows for big Braziliant bouncing fun, a creepy crawly Spider House with four varieties of tarantula and a guinea pig village. Make sure you get down to see the two jaguarundis. Coming soon is the Leaf Ant cutter exhibit!
