Description:

For an amazing family day out, go on a safari drive adventure in the heart of Bedfordshire! Come to Woburn Safari Park and meet the wildlife, with over 1000 animals roaming in 300 acres

About this attraction:

Woburn Safari Park offers an escape to the wild plains, jungles and savannahs of Africa without leaving the country! Teeming with amazing wildlife, Woburn Safari Park takes you a windscreen's width away from rhinos, elephants, lions, bears, tigers, zebra and giraffe. Head off on an adventure on the Road Safari upon arrival to spot endangered and exotic animals, including beautiful tigers, lions, rhino, giraffes, monkeys and many more. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the new flock of ostriches and a male eastern mountain bongo, whose arrival signifies an important step forwards for conservation of the species. You can also see eland antelope calves, as they spend time grazing and ‘pronking’ (jumping and leaping) in the Savannah Grasslands reserve, amongst mixed species of antelope, rhino and buffalo, and the baby Barbary macaque in the African Forest. Then make your way to the Foot Safari where you can enjoy a full programme of daily keeper talks and to Elephant Meadow, the only place in the UK where you might get close enough to touch these magnificent creatures! See if you can spot the capybara pups, or enjoy an up-close encounter in Farmyard Friends as you walk through the home of the adorable twin Anglo-Nubian goat kids and a Somali black-headed lamb. Bringing along your own monkeys? Besides seeing the animals, there are plenty of fun activities, both indoor and outdoor, that can be enjoyed in the Leisure Area as part of your ticket price. Hop onto the Great Woburn Railway and stop off at the latest animal attraction, Alpaca Outpost, to meet and feed the friendly herd of alpacas, including new baby alpaca, Taco! Afterwards, burn off some steam in the new adventure playground, equipped with an array of obstacles, musical instruments and animal themed climbing activities. Alternatively, the Mammoth Play Ark is one of Bedfordshire's biggest soft play centres, where kids can let off steam with slides, cargo nets, bridges and obstacles, plus it can be booked for special birthday parties, with loads of optional extras. Once you’re ready to relax, enjoy a leisurely paddle on Swan Lake in the new Dragon Boats, which have joined the Swan Boats for the first time! With free parking, loads of indoor and outdoor activities and a full programme of keeper talks and demonstrations all included in your ticket price, a day out at Woburn is super value for money. Get your tickets at the gate when you arrive, or go to woburnsafari.co.uk to use our convenient web booking system, where you'll receive a discount on single tickets!
