About this attraction:

Step back in time and ‘FIRE’ your imagination with hands-on learning at the National Emergency Services Museum National Emergency Services Museum is the world’s largest joint 999 Museum and is housed is one of Yorkshires first purpose built combined Police, Fire and Ambulance Stations, dating back to 1898. From humble beginnings, the building itself stood derelict for many years until fire-fighters from the South Yorkshire Brigade began to refurbish the Victorian Police and Fire Station. The Museum houses a vast array of memorabilia which has been collected from various locations in the county and although a lot of work has been done, there’s still plenty to do to restore all the rooms to full use.The building is home to over 30 vehicles with some of which visitors are able to climb inside, Victorian Police Cells that use lights and smells to bring history to life and many interactive exhibits telling the story of our Emergency Services.
