There's more to do in Kilmarnock than you might think with a variety of soft play areas, museums, galleries, parks and playgrounds to keep the family and kids entertained.
If you're after an adrenaline fuelled fun day out then there's Xtreme Events that'll cover you for all sorts of games, activities and group gatherings. The Garage also offers Karting and Bowling all under one roof alongside a Whimpy restaurant, so perfect for those parties or days out with friends and family.
If it's winter and you'd rather spend your time refining your ski technique head over to the Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex. You'll be able to ski or snowboard and take lessons or just fly down the slope as you like. There's also a mini slope for the kids to practice too!
On the opposite side of the coin you'll also find offerings covering nature and history and art. There's Dean Castle Country Park which covers 200 acres of land with woodland walks, a 14th century castle, an urban farm, visitor centre and a kids adventure playground.
The Dick Institute is the cities offering when it comes to museums and historical artifacts. It's doors have been open since 1901 and consists of 2 galleries, 2 museums housing various permanent and temporary displays as well as fine and contemporary arts and craft offerings. There's also a regular kids offering so something for all age groups.
