About Bodyworlds London
Have you ever wondered how all your muscles and ligaments help you to walk, run and jump? Or what effects your lifestyle choices have on your health? Find out through real-life human bodies at Body Worlds London for a truly unique experience.
Located in the heart (get it?) of Piccadilly Circus, Body Worlds London is the capital's top new attraction and makes a fantastic addition to any ‘family days out' list.
More than 200 real-life, plastinated bodies are on display but don't worry, the preservation technique means there's no bad odours to contend with as you walk around! The bodies, which have all been donated, are set in a range of positions to enable you to learn things like which muscles are used when running or jumping.
With so many things to do, kids will be buzzing with questions.
Children aged 7-13 can even take their first steps towards medical school by getting a Junior Doctor certificate. Every other Sunday, budding young doctors can don a jacket and stethoscope and take a tour of Body Worlds with a real-life medical professional, who will teach them all about anatomy and physiology in a fun, interactive way - they'll even learn how to perform CPR!
There is no on-site parking at Body Worlds, but an NCP car park is available on nearby Bower Street.
There are baby changing facilities on site.
Body Worlds is a fully accessible attraction.
Eating isn't permitted inside the exhibition but being in such a great location, there are plenty of restaurants just around the corner.
The kids loved this place, very interesting and educational.
We visited as a family and everyone loved it. We learnt so much about how the body functioned and enjoyed all of the fun facts.
