Days out on the south coast usually mean there are plenty of activities to enjoy, and Havant is no different. Close to Portsmouth and Chichester, Havant offers loads of indoor and outdoor options both in the town itself and in the vicinity.
To get your bearings around Havant, a family treasure hunt could be a great place to start. Huntfun provides all the clues so you can get your Sherlock Holmes hat on and work them all out.
For more outdoor fun, if the weather allows, head to Staunton Country Park. With more than 1,000 acres to explore, there's no way the kids will get bored. As well as the farm and Golden Jubilee Maze, there are also special trails laid out, aimed at various ages. Once you've done all that, relax with a treat in the tearooms.
Another great outdoor space can be found at Stansted Park. Not only can you visit Lord Bessborough's grand home, but you can also take a ride on the Stansted Park Light Railway, explore the play area, get lost in the Yew Maze and take a break in the Pavilion Tea Room.
An ideal attraction for a rainy day can be found at TeamSport Indoor Karting in nearby Gosport. Great for a group of friends as well as family, take a competitive spin around the track and see who claims the top spot on the podium.
If it's an active family day out you're looking for, another slightly wetter option lies in wait at Portsmouth Watersports Centre. Kids from seven years upwards can take part in activities including sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and powerboating. For those who don't fancy getting wet, there's also the option of archery, high ropes and climbing.
