About Longleat Safari Park
As featured on the BBC's Animal Park, Longleat Safari Park is an exciting and rewarding experience for all the family.
Its centrepiece is, of course, the drive-through safari. Navigate your way through Wolf Wood, where you can spot the sociable pack living their best lives - their howling can be heard up to six miles away - and brave the troop of inquisitive macaques in Monkey Mayhem. Their intelligence and curiosity are legendary, so be prepared for them to check out whatever is on your car!
Look out for the magnificent big cats in Tiger Territory, Lion Country and Cheetah Kingdom before going through Big Game Park, featuring, among others, the white rhinos.
You should also take a wander through the African Village and Walking Safari, and explore Koala Creek, Monkey Temple and the Bat Cave.
Two of the most popular areas are the Gorilla Colony - accessible by boat or train - and Jungle Kingdom, where the cheeky meerkats are in residence.
Then, of course, there's the magnificent 16th-century Longleat House, with its 15 breathtaking rooms, exhibitions, art collections and perfectly kept, 900 acres of grounds, originally landscaped by the legendary Capability Brown. Plus there's a fiendish hedge maze - try not to get lost!
There is no charge for parking at Longleat.
Baby changing facilities are available at the entrance to the Safari Park, in the Adventure Castle, Cellars Café, near to the Bat Cave and in the Chameleon Tree.
Accessible toilets are provided at the entrance to the Safari Drive-Through.
The Watering Hole Café provides snacks and light meals.
We loved this safari park, there is lots to see and do but sadly we didnt fit it into one day so we will be returning.
We visited Longleat as a large group and paid for the safari bus tour to get us around. We all enjoyed it, good restaurant and friendly staff.
