Wolverhampton is one of several places in the West Midlands to visit for great family days out. Whether you're looking for an indoor activity for a rainy day, or something active to tire out the kids, there's plenty on offer.
Pay a visit to Wolverhampton Art Gallery to see more than 300 years of art - all for free! As well as showcasing a brilliant collection of Pop Art and works by the famous landscape and portrait artist Gainsborough, there's lots for the kids to enjoy too, including taking selfies while dressed up as a Georgian.
For more indoor things to do, Bantock House and Museum provides another excellent day out. Set within 43 acres, the museum portrays this history of the city, while there are plenty of activities for younger visitors.
Those into football (though maybe not West Brom fans!) would enjoy a trip to the Wolves Museum, located at the club's Molyneux Stadium. There's something for everyone within the four zones, including a History zone, Club zone, Hall of Fame and Interactive Games zone. Take a penalty, learn about sports science and even be interviewed by a famous commentator!
For something even more active, head to Challenge Academy, where you can get to grips with high ropes, zip wires, nets and plenty more.
Days out in the sunshine can be enjoyed at Wolverhampton's outdoor spaces, including Northycote Farm and Country Park, and Phoenix Park, both of which provide plenty to do. At Northycote, youngsters will love getting up close to all the farm animals, while other wildlife can be enjoyed in their natural habitat throughout the surrounding woodland. At Phoenix Park, there's a great range of activities to be enjoyed including a sensory garden, adventure play area and fitness equipment.
