Days out in Stoke on Trent

Coming to Stoke with kids? You’re in for a treat. For starters, it’s the nearest city to rollercoaster capital Alton Towers. Then there’s Trentham Monkey Forest, where you wander round the woods with 140 free-roaming barbary macaques. Probably leave your Wotsits in the car for that one.

But what else gets you stirred up in Stoke-on-Trent?

If you’ve been glued to The Great Pottery Throwdown, have a spin at the world-class Wedgwood ceramics centre. Or catch a live gig at Victoria Hall. The Masons Arms also does a legendary roast, and you can stay over in boats and caravans as well as hotels.

Easy transport links to just about anywhere. Close to theme park heaven. Stoke is great for families.
